Sadhana Mandir Ashram

Founded in 1966 on the banks of the Ganges in Rishikesh, India, Sadhana Mandir Trust was established by Swami Rama as an international retreat center for sincere aspirants to practice meditation in a spiritually elevating environment. Away from the hustle and bustle of Rishikesh, nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, Sadhana Mandir is located on the banks of the holy river Ganges. Surrounded by beautiful flowering gardens, mango trees and a lotus pond, a quiet and serene atmosphere permeates the ashram making it ideal for sadhana.

Geeta Bhawan is a large complex located at the banks of holy river Ganga in Swargashram, Rishikesh. The huge complex of Geeta Bhawan has several discourse halls and over 1000 rooms for the comfortable stay of devotees free of cost. Geeta Bhawan is a major place for devotees from far away places as they get free stay during their holy dip in river Ganga with listening to discourses and meditation.

The Bhawan, at once, can accommodate more than 2000 devotees and provides them free stay. Although the Bhawan remains crowded round the year, the best time to visit is during summer for the day-long Satsang programmes organized by the Management.

This is one of the most ancient shrine complexes in Rishikesh. The walls of the Bhawan bear the writings from the well-known epics Sri Gitaji and Ramayana. There is a meditation hall in the complex where the devotees assemble to say their prayers. The Ayurvedic department over here prepares medicines using the herbs from Himalayas and water from Ganga.

Kailash Ashram Rishikesh

Kailash Ashram is one of the oldest and first big ashram in Rishikesh. It is also known as Shri Kailash Brahmvidhya Peeth. Kailash Ashram was established by Swami Dhanraj �Giri in 1880. He was following Advaita Vedanta path and was teaching vendanta in Rishikesh. Currently �Acharya Mahamandaleswar Vidhyanand Giri Ji� is head of the ashram since 2007. Kailash Ashram has 12 branches in India.

Kailash Ashram activities include Study of vedas, Publication and preservation of religious books & initiation to Sanyasa. Ashram has more than 11000 books old book including 900 manuscripts. Ashram also has free homeopathic medical services & cow shelter. Kailash Ashram only allows Brahmacharis to stay in the Ashram.

Osho Ganga Dham

The ashram kitchen serves pure vegetarian meals and residents can eat within the dining hall or on the outside lawns with vast panoramic views of the Ganges.

KRIYA YOGA PILGRIMAGE TO THE HIMALAYAS

Due to the overwhelming interest in the September 2011 Himalayan pilgrimage, M. G. Satchidananda and Durga Ahlund will lead another group of Kriya Yoga students on a pilgrimage to Badrinath, which is associated with Babaji’s life and realization. The focus this year is on building the energy for our Kriya Yoga Ashram in Badrinath. It will be an unforgettable experience in the homeland of Yoga, which will inspire and enable you to appreciate the rich cultural tapestry, which has given birth to Babaji’s Kriya Yoga.

On a pilgrimage, one seeks to come close to the Divine by meditating in sacred places that provide a terrestrial “doorway” to the Infinite and the Absolute. One may easily experience the “Divine Presence” in such a place as Badrinath, which has been sanctified by the spiritual practices of many yogis and saints. There will be group practice of Kriya Yoga and satsang at least twice daily to deepen your experience. There will be outings to various places of interest, including Vasudhara Falls, Vyasa Gufa, Neelakantan Peak, Badrinath Temple and the hot springs bathing ghat. The main focus on this pilgrimage will be on our practice, on doing our sadhana in Badrinath and in the area of Mana, which is the doorway to Babaji�s Etheric Ashram at Santopanth Tal. There will also be the opportunity for us to physically assist the labors in building Babaji�s ashram.
